This beautiful Madonna and Child figurine is molded from an original Mezenbach sculpture and crafted in glazed porcelain. Standing at 8.25" tall, 4" wide, and 5.75" long, it is a fine example of craftsmanship. The back of the tunic is marked with a pressed-in "M. I. Hummel" facsimile signature, her stamp of approval, while the underside bears the serial number 10/1 and a trademark, indicating it was made in West Germany. Produced circa 1950-1959, this vintage piece is in good condition with some minor crazing, which adds to its character. Please review the photos for more details.
